We invite you to join us for our Annual General Meeting (AGM) here at Homer Watson House & Gallery. This informative evening with the Board of Directors, Volunteers and Staff will provide a brief annual update on the operation of the Gallery, as well as give insight to our plans going forward.
We are happy to announce that this year’s guest speaker is exhibiting artist Gerard Brender à Brandis. Discussing his work on exhibit, On Nature’s Path, Brender à Brandis will take us on a visual journey from the Grand River’s first drop of moving water at the source to the point where it flows into Lake Erie. Gerard Brender à Brandis has created hundreds of woods engravings, drawings and watercolours of plants, landscapes, buildings and musical instruments. His work is in collections across the country and around the world, including the National Gallery of Canada. He is an alumni of Homer Watson House & Gallery when it was known as the Doon School of Fine Arts.
The evening continues on with the official opening of the 26th Annual Homer Watson Exhibition, celebrating the works of Homer Watson, Gerard Brender à Brandis, Dylan Swan and Karen Cantello. Light refreshments and hors d’oeuvres will be served.
