Please join us at Homer Watson House & Gallery for the September edition of our 2016 educational Lunchtime Lounge Series!
Artist and instructor Brett Holmes will be guiding participants through a traditional painting tutorial focusing on Homer Watson as inspiration. Learning about the techniques and practices used in Homer’s work, participants will leave the session with a completed original work of art to call their own.
Holmes is a graduate of Sheridan College of Art and Design, with a working background in journalism. He was also a guest of Walt Disney Studios Australia at the invitation of Australian animator, Darryl Pennington. Holmes began drawing and using watercolour at an early age. They continue to be his medium of choice. Classified as an abstract artist, Holmes works in what is classified as visual persuasion.
In addition to our educational and interesting activity, we will also serve light refreshments and provide tours of Homer Watson’s former home. Please remember to bring a lunch!
